Phil called from the Comicon last night, with his usual report of "well, it's big, and I saw some people. They say hi." Argh!
To be fair, things haven't really got going yet, so there will surely be more to report tonight. I hope it's all good.
Meanwhile, back home with the kids, I've been treated to thundering feet and shouts of "KAZE NO KIZU!" all morning. "Osuwari" only results in comical pratfalls, and then it's back to running, leaping and screaming. Oh, and the constant "Dum da da DUM" of the InuYasha theme in between shouts. I need more tea.
Although, now that I think of it, would the Comicon really be that different? Loud theme music everywhere, anime fans with toy swords, and I'd still need more tea.
I really have to go next year.
...with tea.

I mean, you could be hearing, "WIND SCAR!" and "Sit, boy!" ;)
And I agree... tea is needed. (for me too)
Of course, with her recent lap-band surgery, she might be in the mood to join me for walking around the overcrowded convention hall for days!
We're all excited here because our store in Austin was nominated for one of the Eisner retailer awards. Adding that to my excitement over Phil's nomination, I've never had so much vested interest in the Eisners!

Not that different, no. ;-)
Maybe next year I'll be able to afford ComicCon and will be able to see you and Phil there!
Phil's a great man. Had a great time talking to him. Now I can see how he won over such a great lady as you. He's really something special. Just too bad about that sign in his booth that now says "Eisner Award LOSER" (Especially since he's within view of the winner)
And thanks for the flattery... (hides behind fan and blushes.)
Hence he has been tasked with picking up my GG #1 so I can start catching up. Next year, ComicCon, next year...
I hope you can go next year, Kaja. (I also hope I can. *grin*)
Take care!

Phil seemed to be surviving when I wandered by the booth circa 6:20.
Of course, considering when I went out in 2002 I didn't have a hotel room to stay and most of the people I knew had no idea I was going (Apparently I hadn't specifically said "I'm coming!"), I was lucky enough to share a room then. If I'd showed up Wednesday, I doubt there would have *been* a room to share. *grin*
I must say if I do it again, I will plan out everything ahead of time. Well, in terms of getting a room and registering and plotting some things out with friends and the like.

I wish I was going this year... :(
And I also like Inuyasha, but most of the anime I'm watching currently is not kid-safe, I'm afraid. Speed Grapher, Trinity Blood, Elfen Lied, ect.
But if plans hold true, next summer will be the Year of Many Conventions.
